Come to this workshop and learn how to make bread really easily!
Tutors: Brent Burge & Janey Pares Edney
Brent has a couple of recipes he’ll be demonstrating using dried yeast:
- a plain white wheat flour loaf
- a wholegrain loaf made with mixed white and wholemeal flour, kibbled wheat, molasses and pumpkin...
Janey will be showing you how easy it is to make your own sourdough bread full of nuts and seeds - no kneading needed!!
This a wonderful opportunity to meet other Timebankers in your rohe. Connecting up face to face in a relaxed and friendly space makes us all feel much happier about sharing our skills with people we know. Building relationships in this way makes exchanges so much easier and enjoyable!
.... as always there’s the opportunity to expereince Brent and Wanda’s incredible edible garden. Filled with exotic fruit and veggies - grapes, apples, pears, plums, figs, feijoas, jaboticaba, lucuma, atemoya, kei apple, pimenta, surinam, casimiroa, spreen and lots of others. Brent’s always happy to share his wealth of horticultural knowledge.
No need to register – just come and join in.
Children are welcome, but must be adequately supervised - the section is pretty steep!
There is a toilet inside their home which is available.
Brent and Wanda will provide teas and coffees and we suggest you bring a plate of something yummy to share for afternoon tea.
Parking: Please park on Waimahanga Road & walk up the driveway & consider car sharing.

Non-members are welcome for a $30 workshop fee.
