Tai Tokerau TimeBank

New year, new job? We're hiring...

Do you live in Te Hiku East (Doubtless Bay, Karikari and inland to Peria, Fairburn etc), Mid North (Kaikohe, Kawakawa, Moerewa), or Hokianga? Would you like to join our coordination team? If so we'd love to hear from you! All posts are 5-8 hours a week as a self-employed contractor.

Janine is wishing to retire from her Hokianga role, but thankfully she'll still be very much a part of Tai Tokerau Timebank. However this opens up opportunities for a new Local Coordinator to step in! As one of our larger rohe, both geographically and in terms of members this offers many opportunities for community engagement, especially with several Organisational members involved.

We'd love to fill the Mid North position too, which has been vacant for some time. With the Repair Cafe now being based in Kaikohe there's a ready made focus to build on in that rohe. Barbara Belger has been providing Timebanking support for the Repair Cafe in the meantime. Thankfully we still have a good sized membership in the rohe, so whoever takes it on would be able to focus on connecting people and getting them engaged rather than recruitment of new members.

Te Hiku East has also been without a Local Coordinator for a while and we'd love to be able to give that rohe some more attention again. As with Mid North it has a well established base of members already. There are clusters of members in Peria/Fairburn, Whatawhiwhi and and Cable Bay/Coopers Beach with the rest somewhat scattered in between. Being handy for one of those exisiting clusters would be a bonus, but not essential.

We work as a coordination team so an ability to work through online systems is essential, but training can be given in anything that is new to you.

If you'd like to know more about the role email Anna on taitokerautimebank@gmail.com for a job description.
